Dairy Shorthorn

The Dairy Shorthorn has the same later 19th century history as the Beef Shorthorn. The Dairy breed was created by careful selection of the original dual-purpose Shorthorn cattle for milking qualities. Later introduction of other breeds has occurred.

Colour:White to white with shades of roan or red
Parentage:The Teeswater and Durham breeds, other breeds may have been introduced into some bloodlines since 1970 to improve milking qualities.
